Return Policy

 

Non-Defective Items

At SecurityCameraSystems.com we offer a 30 day return policy on select products determined by manufacturer-specific return policies. Some manufacturers do not allow for returns of their products. Depending on what you order, there may be an accompanying manufacturer warranty. The execution of the warranty is at the sole discretion of the manufacturer. These policies are created by the manufacturers and not SecurityCameraSystems.com.

Return requests must be made within 30 days of the shipment date.

 

Defective/DOA Items

If you receive a DOA or damaged item, you must contact SecurityCameraSystems.com within 5 days of receiving your order. You’ll either be asked to return the product directly to us or send it to the manufacturer depending on each manufacturer’s specific guidelines.

 

How to obtain an RMA number

Send an email request for an RMA number to returns@securitycamerasystems.com. We will then provide you with an RMA (Return Merchant Authorization) number. You will need this number before shipping your product.

When requesting an RMA number, please have the following information on hand to speed up the process: customer name, invoice number, serial number, and a description of the problem.

RMA numbers are only valid for 30 days.

 

Return Requirements


  • All returns must have a valid Return Merchant Authorization Number (RMA) prior to being returned. If your returned item is received without an RMA it will be returned unopened.
  • Item must be returned in original packaging.
  • There must not be writing on any boxes.
  • When making your return, please include any and all components that came with your item as you received them including manuals, warranty cards, static bags, cables, etc.
  • Returned products must be clean and free of usage marks.

Please note that returned or exchanged items are subject to a minimum restocking fee of 15-25% or $50, whichever is more. The amount of the restocking fee depends on the manufacturer and the condition of the returned item.

When returning an item, we recommend that you use UPS or insured parcel post for your protection. Also consider fully insuring the return shipment and choose delivery service that can give you proof of delivery.

SecurityCameraSystems.com will issue return credit only after inspecting the returned products. If the items have been opened or used they are not returnable under any condition. Shipping costs will be refunded only when the return is the result of our error.
